The last place to visit on the cruise was Civitavecchia which is the port nearest to Rome. David and Sarah decided to give Rome a miss and have a look at the town. We all went on a cute little train type thing which saved walking round the town. There were only four passengers, including me, but we all travelled in the single carriage – NOT where they put me for a photo! Can you spot me?

This will be my last message. Thank you to all my faithful followers. I have been a good ice-breaker and conversation piece during our travels. Goodbye all.

In Athens we also went to the place where the Olympic flame is lit. All I can say is that I didn’t see a fire. Just as well as it was a bit too warm already.

We went up to the Acropolis in Athens and they hanged me on a fence! What did I do wrong? They rescued me before my face went red. I mean- have you ever heard of a red-faced English frog!

Not ANOTHER river trip! At least the views are different. I hope that this chap doesn’t squeeze me too much.

Wow that snow looks cold – just like England in January. I’m getting homesick.

This boat hit a reef and nearly sank.
Just one more trepidatious(?) episode.

Friends of mine fish-watching in a market in Thailand.
